Ornithology

Rutgers University

Ornithology is an upper level course covering bird ecology, systematics, and conservation. It also includes a laboratory portion, where students learn to identify New Jersey bird species. Field experience is gained during field trips which introduce students to bird habitats and allow them to observe live birds in nature. I taught this course during the summer session in 2010, and during spring of 2011. The summer 2010 and spring 2011 websites include links to lectures, syllabi, field trip pictures, and so forth.
